Dr. Uladzislau Belavusau gave a keynote lecture on memory laws at the University of Helsinki
On June 12th, 2023, Dr. Uladzislau Belavusau, the head of the Dutch team of the MEMOCRACY project, delivered a keynote lecture entitled “Memory Laws: Beware of Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing”. The keynote was given in the framework of the conference on EU Hate Speech Legislation assessing conflicting pressures between memory, identity building and criminal law and took place in Helsinki, Finland.
