Dr. Uladzislau Belavusau presents his research at the Central European University (Vienna)

On the 8th of February 2023, Dr. Uladzislau Belavusau (Head of the Dutch MEMOCRACY Team and Senior Researcher at the T.M.C Asser Instituut/University of Amsterdam) presented his research on memory laws and mnemonic constitutionalism at a two-day workshop titled ‘Memory Politics and the Russo-Ukrainian War’. The event took place at the Central European University in Vienna (Austria).

The workshop was co-organized by the Department of International Relations of Central European University and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research project ‘To Destroy or to Preserve? Monuments, Law and Democracy in Europe’ run by Ghent University. They successfully gathered a diverse group of scholars from the social sciences and humanities working on memory politics.
